New ASEAN-China Land Bridge Services
Savvy Logistics in conjunction with its sister company in Thailand, Champway Asia Land Bridge, have been cooperating to establish new Land Bridge services between Singapore en routed via Malaysia, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam to major cities in China such as Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Xiamen, Shanghai, and others.
The Land Bridge system offers an excellent alternative to air freight transportation, as it offers similar if not better door-to-door transit time as air freight service at much lower cost. It also expedites services for project cargo destined to Laos, Vietnam, Myanmar, or Cambodia entering at the Bangkok airport on larger aircraft that cannot be transported on smaller regional flights.
The program’s initial test run was postponed due to the massive floods in Thailand in October, 2011. We are working diligently to have this operational early first quarter 2012 when the factories across central Thailand are in full production again.
